Steeltown stinking up the skies

Hamilton based Dofasco Inc. tops the list of Ontario's greatest greenhouse gas polluters.
Ontario open data lists the facilities with the highest CO2e emissions. Here they are.



If you analyze the data further you can see that the top three facilities account for nearly 30% of the CO2 released in Ontario.

They are Dofasco Inc. at 11.4%
U.S. Steel Canada Inc. at 9.5%
Essar Steel Algoma at 7.3%

Dofasco has been in trouble for it's excessive greenhouse emissions in the past.

Dofasco releases more CO2 into the air than all of Ontario Power Generation combined. The hard data should be revealed in a story and Dofasco, along with the other big polluters, should be held to task.
